13th March 2008 - Mise Éire: The Music of Seán Ó Riada at City Hall

The London Irish Symphony Orchestra will be performing at London's City Hall as guests of the Mayor this year to promote the work of Irish composer
Seán Ó Riada. In a new arrangement of his music, former LISO Principal Oboe Eimear Saunders will be appearing as a soloist, with the chamber orchestra conducted by Nick Newland. This is a free event and tickets are limited to 250.

17th March - Willesden Green, Brent
The Orchestra's string quartet will entertain the audience in Willesden Green with a selection of contemporary and classic Irish tunes as well as easily recognisable melodies. This will be the second year the Orchestra has sent a quartet to Brent and we are looking forward to another fantastic day of celebrations.
